Can I fire my day-care istant?

You can only let her go if she cannot provide doctor's excuse. at the er they give a discharge paper. you can require proof of medical treatment. beyond that, you must put it in writing & get it employee signed that this job requires a minimum number of days available for work to have the firing option in the future. especially since the interum days off were explained by nature or given by you the employer, you cannot fire her. sorry, but that is how it is when you run a business. lucky for you that your hub has been able to cover for you.
