Millet riflescope... any experiences with the quality?

My son bought a Millet last year. It was a discontinued model that listed for about $300. It worked fine for several rounds on his Rem 700 SPS Varmint in .308. Then it would not hold zero. He sent it back to get it repaired. They sent a new model back in a week or so. This went on during deer season last year so he put one of my old Tasco 4x scopes on the rifle and took two does at 290 and 300 yds. I don't think the new Millet scope is holding zero anymore either.
