Travel safety in Colombia?

The bus's in Colombia are pretty safe I took a bus from Cali to Pasto and it turned out fine and there was American people on board. It's good that your taking the bus because the plane is just a waste of a money plus the bus is way cheaper it may take longer but it's worth it. The conductors do drive a bit crazy. On my trip the guy was going 90k the entire way and it wasnt a straight road it was on curvy mountain roads we could've tipped off the cliff pretty easily but we did get there an hour in a half eariler haha. There may be stops on the way by "police" saying their looking for drugs but its bullsh!t its usually the military. But other than that you'll be totally safe, have fun in my beautiful country :)
