What are the diferences between falcons, hawks, and eagles?

Falcons are birds belonging to the genus Falco and the family Falconidae, which are built for speed and they hunt birds using spectacular high speed dives. Hawks are relatives of falcons, but they are built for soaring more than for high speed. Eagles are larger than hawks. Unlike falcons, eagles are not a monophyletic group sharing a recent common ancestor. Instead, different groups of eagles seem to have evolved their large size independently of one another from smaller hawks. Eagles are large hawks that are not grouped into a single genus, but are only similar because of their body size. Hawk is a term that is used for just about any bird of prey in the family Accipitridae that is not a falcon, a vulture, an eagle and which does not have another common name such as buzzard, harrier, kite or kestrel, etc.
