What do Americans think of the British?

As a proud Brit (and someone who likes America) I have noticed tensions between us on various internet forums especially regarding US foreign policy. What do most Americans think of the British? Do you consider us allies? Friends? Enemies? What is the consensus of the British in the US? All input welcomed!
